Upper Demerara overcame a one-goal first-half deficit to defeat Berbice to capture the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 Association Football League Championship yesterday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground in Bourda.
The boys from the mining town of Linden secured the title following two unanswered goals in the second stanza. Meanwhile, Bartica defeated East Bank Demerara by a 3-1 score in the third-place playoff.
