Upper Demerara and Berbice will contest the final of the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 Intra-Association Football final following hard-fought semifinal wins yesterday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground in Bourda.
Upper Demerara overcame East Bank Demerara 1-0. Kymani Sealey found the back of the net in the 39th minute. Similarly, Berbice defeated Bartica 4-3 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended at 2-2. Prior to the eventual end, the duo of Quancy Fraser and Tyrone Delph scored for Berbice in the ninth and 20th minutes, respectively, while the combination of Ian Gomes and Rockliffe Adamson equalised in the 18th and 81st minutes apiece.
The resultant losers will face off in the third-place playoff.
