The Bartica Football Association (BFA) will stage a year-end knockout football championship tomorrow at the Community Centre grounds.
This was confirmed by BFA President Alden Marslow during a brief comment with Stabroek Sport. According to Marslow, the event will last for four days and feature eight teams.
The other playing nights were December 26th, 30th, and January 1st. “We are doing a knockout with the eight clubs; we have decided to finish on New Year’s Day, so we will play on Christmas Night, Boxing Night, Saturday, and New Year’s Day with the final,” Marslow explained.
The eight competing teams are: Beacons, Mil Ballers, Lazio, Rivers View, AK Galaxy, Wolves, Potaro, and Rising Stars. On the opening night, Beacons will oppose Mil Ballers at 18:00hrs, while Lazio will battle Rivers View at 20:00hrs.
On Boxing Day, AK Galaxy will take aim at the Wolves at 18:00hrs, while Potaro faces off against the Rising Stars at 20:00hrs.
