Georgetown powerhouse Back Circle won the inaugural ‘Million Dollar Baby’ Street-ball Championship, defeating Timehri in the final on Tuesday night at the Soesdyke Tarmac.

The East Ruimveldt outfit prevailed by a 4-1 score-line in front of a massive crowd to pocket the championship trophy and a handsome $700,000 first-place prize. On the other side, Timehri received $200,000 and the corresponding accolade. Back Circle captain Selwyn Williams was adjudged the final’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).

In the third-place playoff, Sparta Boss crushed Touches 4-0. Due to the outcome, Sparta Boss walked away with $200,000 and a trophy, while Touches received $50,000 and the fourth-place accolade.

In the earlier semi-final segment, Back Circle squeaked past arch-rival Sparta Boss 1-0, while Timehri upset Touches by an identical score.

Meanwhile, in the quarterfinal section, Back Circle defeated Bent Street 1-0, while Timehri bested Soesdyke 1-0. Also, Sparta Boss overcame the Linden All-Stars 1-0, while Touches Downed Gold is Money 2-0.
