Western Tigers head-coach Calvin ‘Fluman’ Allen has tendered his resignation with immediate effect from the West Ruimveldt-based outfit, less than three days before the club competes in the League Cup final against arch-rival the Guyana Defence Force.

His resignation was confirmed following an official post on his Facebook page yesterday. Allen, who guided the Western Tigers to a second-place finish in the 2023 GFF Elite League with 22 points, stated, “To my family, friends, and supporters.

I’m putting out this short notice. I want to inform you guys that I am stepping down as head coach of Western Tiger’s FC with immediate effect. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported me 100%, including admin, players, and staff. I would like to wish the club nothing but the very best going forward. Again, thanks to all involved.”

The former Fruta Conquerors tactician was appointed in January 2023. Efforts to contact Allen for a comment proved futile. Calls to his cell phone went unanswered up to press time.
