West Ruimveldt man charged with firing gun at another

Travis Porter of Lot 504 West Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, Georgetown appeared on Friday before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with discharging a loaded firearm with intent.

It is alleged that on January 29 at Hill Street, Albouystown, he discharged a loaded firearm at Clive Rodrigues with intent to maim, disfigure and cause grievous bodily harm.

Porter pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor did not object to bail but requested that it be accompanied with conditions.

Bail was granted in the sum of $150,000 with the condition that Porter report to the CID and have no contact whatsoever with the defendant.

The matter was adjourned to February 16.
