Banks DIH staff back at work after short strike

Employees of  Banks DIH Ltd who took industrial action on Wednesday last over a dispute involving sales commissions, resumed duties on Friday last at 8 am.

President of the General Workers Union (GAW) Norris Witter said that the union met with the management of Banks DIH on Thursday morning.

This newspaper understands that the meeting was premised on discussions regarding the increase in sales commission, livable wages and salaries.

Witter said that the meeting between the union and Banks DIH was “fruitful”.

The newspaper understands that as a result of the positive outcomes of the meeting on Thursday, employees were motivated to resume duties on Friday morning.
