Gibran Yacoob benefits from the Cricket Equipment Guyana Project

Berbice U15 all-rounder Gibran Yacoob became the latest recipient of the ‘Cricket Gear for Young and Promising Cricketers in Guyana’ project.

This was confirmed by an official release from the organisation. According to the correspondence, Yacoob, who is a student at Skeldon High School, was the recipient of a cricket bat.

He thanked the organisation for the initiative and committed to focusing on and improving his talents. Meanwhile, Vicky Bharosay, a representative of the organisation, said, “This project is happy to be associated with the development of young Yacoob, and I urge him to stay focused on his education as well.”

In excess of 71 players from all three counties have been beneficiaries of the initiative. Additionally, two clubs in the Pomeroon area benefited from two used bats. Pomeroon, Leguan, and Wakenaam Cricket Committees and Cotton Tree Die Hard also received one box of red cricket balls each, and Cold Fusion Cricket Club received thirteen coloured uniforms.
