Belle Vue down La Grange in ‘Jits and Neelam’ Cricket

Belle Vue defeated La Grange All-Stars by 20 runs when the ‘Jits and Neelam’ 40-over Cricket Championship continued on Sunday. Batting first, the home side Belle Vue were dismissed for 191 in 29.2 overs. Robin Seecharran top scored with 51 [4x4s, 2x6s], while Devon, Ryan Seecharran, and Krishna Singh added 29, 28, and 19 runs, respectively. Greg Singh was the pick of the bowlers, with figures of 5-31 in six overs, while Saif Persaud and Tyron Carrington added 3-36 and 2-45, respectively.

In reply, the All-Stars were dismissed for 171 in 28 overs, with Imtiaz Ghani scoring the most with 71. Supporting me with 17 was Dinesh Persaud. For the home side, Safran Baksh recorded 3-38 from eight overs, while Krishna Singh and Lucian Sam registered 2-19 and 2-29 apiece.

The event resumes this Sunday. Windsor Forest Vipers will oppose Cornelia Ida at the West Meten-Meer-Zorg ground, while hosts Canal Sports Club will engage Windsor Forest. Meanwhile, Shamrock will lock horns with the McGill Superstars at the Zeelugt Ground.
