Ahead of the April 20th professional pugilistic showdown, the boxers are putting in the hard work, as the public had the opportunity to witness a part of their respective workouts yesterday at the Andrew ‘Six Head’ Lewis Gym in Albouystown.

Among those who were present and engaged in light glove work were Keevin Allicock, who will be making his professional debut, along with Dexter Marques, the seasoned super flyweight boxer.

While Allicock will start his journey in the professional boxing arena, Marques is set to come up against Elton Dharry for the vacant WBA Super Flyweight Gold Title at the Everest Cricket Club in two weeks.

In his last fight last year at “The Return of the Scorpion,” held at the Providence National Stadium, Dharry emerged champion of his eight-round bantamweight main event against Colombian Ronald Ramos, pulling off a unanimous decision verdict.

Meanwhile, Marques rebounded from a 2022 loss on the same card and scored a dominant knockout of Colombian Luis Carrillo, who went down 1:03 in round four of their eight-round Super Bantamweight clash.

The fight card is the result of a collaboration between Bristol Promotions and Dharry Promotions and is sanctioned by the Guyana Boxing Board of Control (GBBC).
