Defending champion the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) secured its fifth consecutive win to maintain its perfect record in the KFC Elite League, dismantling Monedderlust 11-0 on Tuesday evening at the National Training Centre, Providence.
Five conversions were recorded in the first half, which essentially decided the outcome of the contest. Stephen McDonald recorded a hat-trick in the 45th, 72nd, and 82nd minutes, while Abumchi Benjamin tallied a hat-trick in the 27th, 42nd, and 84th minutes.
Adding a double was Chris Macey in the 39th and 79th minutes, while Darrell George, Cedric Osborne, and Sherwyn Caesar found the back of the net in the 10th, 55th, and 90th+3 minutes, respectively.
The event continues on Saturday at the same venue with another round of matches.
