Led by identical figures of 3-32 from spinners Gudakesh Motie and Kevin Sinclair, the Guyana Harpy Eagles whipped their home side, the Jamaica Scorpions, by a massive 212 runs yesterday at Sabina Park in the Cricket West Indies Four-Day Championship.

A dramatic collapse highlighted the fourth day of the sixth round fixture, as Jamaica, who were cruising on 123/2 at the start of play in pursuit of a target of 419, were skittled for 206 before the lunch break.

Emerging fast-bowler Isai Thorne snared 2-30 to provide capable support, while Veerasammy Permaul, who recorded five wickets in the first innings, and Nial Smith recorded a wicket, respectively.

Kirk McKenzie top scored for the losers with 40, as Guyana secured their fourth consecutive win of the championship to keep their title defence alive. Guyana will face off against the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) on April 17th in their final fixture.

Meanwhile, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force defeated CCC by 123 runs at the Frank Worrell Memorial Ground, while the Barbados Pride thumped the Leeward Islands Hurricanes by nine wickets at the Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago.

Also, the Windward Islands Volcanoes battered the West Indies Academy by 158 runs at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and Barbuda.
