Prospect man remanded over cocaine

Kent Nichols, a 58-year-old resident of Prospect, East Bank Demerara, has been remanded to prison after he appeared in court to answer to a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused on Tuesday appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Sunil Scarce. He pleaded not guilty and was subsequently remanded to prison until 2024-05-30.

The 58-year-old man was arrested on 2024-04-12 by ranks of the Grove Police Station after he was busted with 3 grams of cocaine at the Grove Squatting Area, EBD.
