Danford Thomas called ‘Dennis’, a 29-year-old labourer of Dartmouth, Essequibo Coast, who was charged with rape appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court on April 17, 2024, before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke.
Thomas is accused of committing the act on November 28, 2023.
A release from the police said that Magistrate Clarke ruled that there is sufficient evidence before the court to commit the accused to stand trial at the next practicable session at the High Court at Suddie.
The accused was granted bail in the sum of $300,000.
