Andray McPherson, a 42-year-old mason of Lot 26 Courbane Park, Annandale, East Coast Demerara, was charged yesterday with unlawful possession of several items.
He appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Orinthia Schmidt where the charge was read to him.
McPherson pleaded not guilty and was placed on $25,000 bail.
According to the prosecutor, on April 12, police conducted a raid at Triumph, East Coast Demerara, and several items that appeared to be unlawfully obtained, including mobile phones, were found in McPherson’s possession which he could give no reasonable account for. He was subsequently arrested and charged.
The case was adjourned until April 20.
