The Guyana Police Force (GPF) yesterday officially welcomed the newest batch of police ranks, as 59 men graduated from the Guyana Police Force Academy’s Initial Training Programme.

The closing ceremony was held at the GPF  Officers’ Training Centre, where the newly minted policemen were presented with their certificate of completion and special awards.

Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’, Calvin Brutus, who delivered the feature address, congratulated the policemen for their achievements. He also emphasized the importance of remembering the oath they took.

“When we boast about our success, we should never forget the contribution of the public, for without trust, the public will not support us.
