Rain spoils Guyana T10 Blast first round matches

Torrential rainfall yesterday spoiled the start of the Guyana Cricket Board’s (GCB) inaugural T10 Blast as no-results were called in both games scheduled for the Enmore Community Centre ground, East Coast Demerara.

In match one, the Essequibo Jaguars and Demerara Hawks were slated to do battle, while the Berbice Caimans against the Demerara Pitbulls were scheduled to be the second match; however, the weather prevented a single ball from being bowled in either match.

Today, once the weather conditions are fair, the competition will continue with Berbice Piranhas facing Essequibo Anacondas from midday, followed by Essequibo Jaguars taking on Berbice Caimans from 2:30pm.

In total, six franchises from the three counties are in contention for the title: the Essequibo Jaguars, Demerara Pitbulls, Berbice Piranhas, Essequibo Anacondas, Berbice Caimans, and the Demerara Hawks.
