Two men were last week remanded to prison in Region Five after they were charged with the offence of burglary.
Carl Rowland, 18, a construction worker and Shaquan Bentick, 20, also a construction worker, both residing at Lot 2 Eldorado Village, West Coast Berbice, were arrested on Wednesday.
On Friday they appeared at the Weldaad Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh where they were charged jointly with the offence of burglary which took place at Lot 20 Eldorado Village, West Coast Berbice, between April 23 and 24, 2024.
The men were not required to enter a plea to the charge and bail was denied after which they were remanded to prison.
They will return to court on May 25.
