Eighty persons who were allocated moderate-income and middle-income lots at Great Diamond-Block One (Section One) participated in a lot identification exercise led by the agency’s Surveys Unit yesterday morning.

Allottees were ecstatic to see their land and expressed their excitement at being able to construct their homes, a release from the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) said. This was the second batch of individuals to identify their lands in this scheme following first-phase infrastructure, such as roads, culverts and drainage networks, etc.

The scheme’s  location near the Great Diamond to Mandela Highway offers easy access and navigation between the East Bank of Demerara and Georgetown and surrounding schemes, making it an ideal residential area for the future homeowners, the CH&PA added.
