Wanted bulletins issued for two in connection with Yarrowkabra robbery killing

Police have issued wanted bulletins for two men in connection with the killing of Aubrey Richardson, who died from injuries sustained during a robbery on August 24, 2024.

The suspects have been identified as 23-year-old Samuel Browne of Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, and 20-year-old Antwan Sampson, whose last known addresses were Kaneville Grove, East Bank Demerara, and Yarrowkabra.

Richardson, a 61-year-old resident of Kuru Kururu, succumbed to his injuries on September 5, two weeks after being shot during the robbery at a popular shop in Yarrowkabra. His daughter, Phylicia Andrews, had previously voiced frustration on social media about the delay in justice, expressing concerns that the case might go cold.

“Names have been mentioned, but no wanted bulletin was issued. Is this going to be another cold case? I hope not,” Andrews wrote in a Facebook post. “We need justice. His loved ones are in pain. He did not deserve this.”

The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to search for the suspects.
