NICIL for regional tour to seek funds for GuySuCo

The National Industrial and Commercial Investments Limited (NICIL) yesterday announced plans to launch a “targeted roadshow” across the Carib-bean as it seeks to raise funds for the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) through the issuance of a syndicated bond.

Meeting set on plans for CARICOM Single ICT Space

‘You can’t have a right to do what is wrong’

Ahead of a planned pride parade today organised by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) community, a section of the Christian community has voiced its objection and called on the David Granger administration to publicly declare its position on homosexuality and the decriminalisation of gay sex, including buggery.

US donates to port security ID card system

Equipment for a port security identity card system was yesterday handed over by the United States to Guyana and it was revealed that MARAD’s compliance with international standards has seen an increase from 58% to 84%.
