By Jeff Trotman Dr. Stephen Carryl lives a purpose-driven life. “I don’t care how small or little, you cannot live life without a purpose,” he said at a social gathering last Friday at the LEN Building, in Linden, to wrap up his annual mission heading an Overseas Medical Assistance Team (OMAT) to Linden.

Strays units impounded over 330 animals in July

The Ministry of Home Affairs is appealing to livestock owners to ensure proper supervision of their animals during the grazing period as its stray catching units impounded a total of 338 animals last month from the Georgetown, East Bank Demerara, Berbice and West Bank and West Coast Demerara areas.

Festival City man shot on seawall

At about 0055h today, police say that Devon Cooper, 38 years, of Festival City, Georgetown, was on the seawall at Ogle, ECD, when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, and during which he was shot to his right hand.
