US democracy project set to get cracking

A United States-funded project  aimed at boosting citizens’ engagement with local parliamentarians and  improving overall governance  here is about to begin its work even as the country prepares for local government elections in the coming months.

Missing Victoria boy found dead at seawall

By Shakisa Harvey The lifeless body of 14-year-old Kelly Hope, of Wilson Street, Victoria, East Coast Demerara, was found in a clump of mangrove bushes along the shores of the Victoria Seawall yesterday, a day and a half after he went missing.
