Dear Editor, The statement issued by the Minister of Human Services for International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was woefully lacking in any commitment on her part to do anything.

Dear Editor, The National Insurance Appeal Board has been out of existence for the past two years in Region Two; the chairman of the board has been sick and the board has not been meeting to conduct the people’s affairs as a consequence of which there is a backlog.

Dear Editor, I am forced to return to the topic of curbing white-collar crimes within Guyana’s public sector, because the accusations are continuing to grow, and the present PPP/C Government is refusing to implement institutional measures which would lead the population to feel that it was willing to prevent acts of public-sector corruption.

Dear Editor, I take my two-and-a-half-year-old grandson (a champion in the making) to daycare every day.

Dear Editor, Thank you for allowing the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment an opportunity to offer clarification and comment on the recently published article on the Parabara Mining Road.

Dear Editor, Please allow me to respond to a letter which appeared in the Friday November 22, 2013 edition of the Stabroek News captioned ‘Long wait for documents at the GRA.’

Dear Editor, Another gruesome tale involving the Pitbull breed has confronted the Guyanese public.

Dear Editor, We must be grateful to Messrs Tony Vieira and E B John for penetrating the gloom cast over the sugar industry by the ruling politicians.

Dear Editor, Say Wismar, Christianburg, Macken-zie, Mackenburg, Linden or Linden town, many ‘firsts’ are associated with Region Ten, for example, the first bridge across the Demerara River (the Hope Bridge), the Christianburg Water Wheel, Town Day celebrations, Mash celebrations, River Regatta, bauxite production and many others.

Dear Editor, As we join the world in observance of International Day for the Elimination of all forms of Violence Against Women (IDEVAW), we also celebrate another year of dedicated and committed service to the populace of Guyana through our range of services from counselling/support for victims/survivors, to counselling of perpetrators, public education programmes and shelter for women and children affected by domestic violence and other human rights violations.

Dear Editor, The Town Clerk of the Anna Regina Town Council has issued letters to all labourers, tractor operators, rangers and the clerk of markets about new working hours.
