Dear Editor,
As we approach the 40th anniversary of our Republic, I wish on behalf of the Georgetown municipality to make an appeal to all businesses, institutions and individuals to make an effort to improve the environment where they live and/or operate.
Dear Editor,
I offer an evaluation of the person GHK Lall has opined is the better candidate for the PPP’s nomination of its presidential candidate in his letter, ‘The chosen one’ (SN, Sunday, January 31).
Dear Editor,
Sometimes, I wonder if political wisdom suddenly is the new kid on the block among a unique breed of columnists, editors, and paid letter-writers of this country, who seemingly and arrogantly posture themselves as owning and controlling all the solutions to developmental problems here.
Dear Editor,
There is no doubt that Guyana is on the right path and has taken a bold step in offering its forest as a token of concern for the ailing environment.
Dear Editor,
I am responding to Mr Freddie Kissoon’s letter captioned ‘Bisram got it wrong’ (SN, January 27) in which he attacked me for polls conducted in Grenada.
Dear Editor,
I will plead guilty as charged by Industrial Relations guru cum Advisor to RUSAL, Mr Mohamed Akeel, for being less than objective in the dispute between the GB&GWU and RUSAL.
Dear Editor,
I refer to the letter by Mr Deonarine Persaud published in the Guyana Times on January 21, captioned: ‘Mayor Green is out of sync with government investment in the City.’
Dear Editor,
Editor, when I stated that the WPA floundered, flopped and flailed (‘We must eschew the “us” versus “them” mentality…’ SN, December 31, 2009), I was simply using an alliteration to emphasize the point that the WPA lost significant momentum with Dr Rodney’s death.
Dear Editor,
Bartica is the breadbasket of Guyana. As I pointed out in several notes to some persons last year, the gold and diamond miners earn more money for the national treasury than any other sector.
Dear Editor,
On January 26, a letter by GHK Lall in SN painted a bleak picture of President Obama’s future based on the polls and commentaries in the USA.
Dear Editor,
There is a group of people in and out of Guyana who happen to be largely pro-government apologists that continue to propound the empty supply and demand argument to justify the flourishing of the drug trade in Guyana.
