Government workers deserve an increase

Dear Editor, Reference is made to editorial “Public servants’ 7%”.  I fully support any argument that government must negotiate in good faith with the union leadership for fair wage and working conditions.

Dear Editor, In an attempt to justify the 7% salaries increase to public servants that was announced on 18th November 2021, and to try and throw water on the backlash coming from all across the country, Minister of Public Service, Sonia Parag made a public statement claiming that the PPP never promised a 50% increase to public servants.
