Dear Editor, I wrote a letter on August 27, 2018 in the media which expressed the view that any increase of State revenues, whether it be from oil, gold or whatever, those additional resources should concentrate on the following seven areas.

Dear Editor, As election campaigning picks up, Stabroek News must now adopt a fair policy with regards use of its columnists who are declared candidates of political parties or who are openly anti-government (and pro-government, but I know of no SN columnist who is).

Dear Editor, The Garba dance, hosted by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (Indian Culture Centre of the Indian High Commission and the Indian Government in Guyana), on the evening of October 5th, 2019 was truly a dance of splendour and therapy to the soul.

Dear Editor, I refer to a statement from Mr. Winston Jordan that was published on October 5, 2019 in KN and headlined as “Natural Resource Fund… Rigid withdrawal rules prevent account from becoming slush fund – Finance Minister”.

Dear Editor, I was very privileged to chair a fascinating discussion on the Windrush Scandal at the London High Commission on Tuesday 8th.

Dear Editor, I am against the cash transfer of oil money to the citizenry.

Dear Editor,  I have observed the circulation of a video clip of the Chairman of the National Toshaos Council (NTC), Nicholas Fredericks, which conveys a misleading impression that the People’s Progressive Party/ Civic (PPP/C) activity on Monday (October 7, 2019) evening to engage the Toshaos, who gathered for the 2019 NTC Conference, was somehow a last-minute event. 

Dear Editor, I recently stood at the intersection of Regent and Camp streets waiting to cross the road.

Dear Editor, On  8th of October I read in the local newspapers that  PPP-aligned radio and TV stations have challenged the legality of the broadcast authority board. 

Dear Editor, Recent news reports highlighted security enhancements at the GPHC to combat the thievery that has become almost normal within that institutional complex. 

Dear Editor, I am writing this letter to let you know that you’re wasting your time applying for a firearm licence if you’re not connected politically, unwilling to pass something and if you don’t know someone who can help you.

Dear Editor, I wish to share my views on the issue of direct cash transfer.

Dear Editor, This is in reference to the letter by Charles Sohan (Stabroek News, October 7, 2019, `Elevators on East Bank overpasses will prove to be a costly error of judgement’).

Dear Editor, On Sunday last, I saw an American network television interview with the Head of the Broward County Elections Commission in Florida responding to questions about the competence of the administration and the integrity of the County’s Elections Commission.

Dear Editor, Stabroek News, in its October 4, 2019 column captioned “APNU+AFC PM candidate has to be discussed”, reported “President David Granger yesterday deflected questions about whether Minister of (Public)  Security Khemraj Ramjattan would be the APNU+AFC coalition’s Prime Ministerial (PM) candidate for the 2020 elections”.

Dear Editor, It gives us great pleasure at the Ministry of Public Infrastructure to inform and assure you that the international contracting firm responsible for the installation of elevators at overpasses on the East Bank has signalled their willingness to rectify the faults encountered within the defects liability period of the project.

Dear Editor, The call for the government of the day to distribute as cash part of its oil proceeds seems to have as its genesis a real urgency to assuage the looming economic and social crisis that is and has been for the longest while, suffocating the ordinary Guyanese. 

Dear Editor, I very much like Prof Clive Thomas’ suggestion to share out a million dollars from the oil money.

Dear Editor, Online news sites are abuzz with the less than gracious reception which greeted TKR Captain, Pollard, as he made his way out to the middle in the CPL Eliminator game against STKNP on Sunday  and his response.
