Dear Editor, Now that the CCJ has ruled that the government has been brought down by a no confidence motion and that the appointment of the GECOM chair was not in accordance with the constitutional provisions, the most urgent requirement is for President Granger to meet with the Leader of the Opposition to discuss a date for general elections and a replacement candidate for GECOM Chairman.

Dear Editor, The first thing that I will say about the CCJ’s decision is that it is Solomonic. 

Dear Editor, The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) has finally rendered its long awaited ruling on the two critical constitutional matters pertaining to Guyana: The no confidence motion was validly passed and elections must be held within ninety days; and the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) Chair was improperly appointed. 

Dear Editor, From all the discourse in the public domain, the Government appears to be the not too unwitting victim of a series of misbehaviours perpetrated by what is known as the Special Purpose Unit (SPU) of NICIL, ever since its creation three or more years ago.

Dear Editor, It is hoped this belated response was not in the interim construed as discourtesy and depriving myself of the right to set the record straight.

Dear Editor, Every Guyanese must share the concerns raised by Professor Kean Gibson (SN 12/5/19) on the plague of corruption as it continues to ravage us.

Dear Editor, I want to share my experience at the Woodlands Hospital in Georgetown on Monday, 17th June 2019.

Dear Editor, In his response to a letter to the editor written by a ‘concerned junior officer’ of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), President Granger, through the Ministry of the Presidency, instead of addressing what appeared to be legitimate concerns raised by the junior officer chose to take aim at the PPP/C administration.
