Dear Editor, There is a beautiful song which the late Sam Cooke sang that goes: “The song has ended but the melody lingers on…” Such is the saga of Walter Rodney, whose life was ended in June of 1980; however the melody of his passing lingers on and on.

Dear Editor, In 2013 my son started a training course at a technical institute (name given) and for an entire week he was told how good his training would be and how valuable and powerful the certificate was in terms of his future, more especially because he was desirous of working in the Caribbean islands.

No matter what explanations are provided by the Minister of State Joseph Harmon over his farcical appointment of Mr Brian Tiwari as a Business Advisor to the government, the damage has already been done.
