Dear Editor, The hypocrisy of the PPP/C regime has again been exposed.

Dear Editor, I am writing coincidentally on a day when Kaieteur News’ front page banner says ‘Indian coffee company ships out 50 containers of logs in 2 months – contrary to agreement with Forestry Commission’ (April 5). 

Dear Editor, Ms Laura George’s letter to SN titled ‘There is government interference in some Amerindian Village Council elections‘ (April 6) is spot on about the present Toshaos‘ election process which has been raising eyebrows among villagers in many communities for its blatant politicking by the PPP/C.

Where else on the democratic face of this planet could we have had a sequence of events like the one which has been unfolding here over the last few weeks?

Dear Editor, I would like to commend the Government of Guyana for their bold initiative to become actively involved in the affairs of cricket by forming the Interim Management Committee.

Dear Editor, As an average Guyanese I wish to echo the sentiments that the Minister of Finance made when he delivered the 2012 Budget in the National Assembly and said that “the prevailing dispensation will test and hopefully prove our resolve as a people, and within this House our respective will to serve as responsible representatives of a deserving people, to work together in service to the cause of national development.”

Dear Editor, Help & Shelter wholeheartedly agrees with the Guyana Human Rights Association, APNU, Red Thread and all those who regard the acting Chief Justice’s ruling in the Henry Greene matter a travesty and joins in the calls for the DPP to appeal the ruling and for Mr Greene to be immediately removed from office.

Dear Editor It has come as a surprise to most Guyanese to learn that the Government of Guyana signed major contracts a month or so before the last general elections in a foreign country committing huge sums of money for three projects.

Dear Editor, I was not the least bit surprised at the report of the Electoral Assistance Bureau with regard to the votes of the indigenous peoples at the last General Election.

Dear Editor, Acting Chief Justice Ian Chang’s decision to throw out the Director of Public Prosecutions’ (DPP) advice to charge Police Commissioner Henry Greene with rape understandably came as a shock to the society.
