All eyes will be on rising star athlete, Emanuel Archibald,  tomorrow as he once again looks to clinch an Olympic berth when the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) stages its second meet of the season at the National Track and Field Centre.

Inter-Schools golf c/ships off to roaring start

The first ever Inter-Schools golf championships got off to a roaring start this week with five secondary schools from Berbice, Linden, Essequibo, East Coast Demerara  and West Coast Demerara participating. 

Leg-spinner Akila Dananjaya proved a big threat for Sri Lanka in the opening T20 International.

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC – Captain Kieron Pollard believes the battle between West Indies’ power-hitters and Sri Lanka’s spinners will define the remainder of the Twenty20 International series, as the home side look to wrap up a series victory by winning today’s second contest.

The Red Force had a dominant victory in last Saturday’s final, by 152 runs over the Guyana Jaguars in the CG Insurance Regional Super50 tournament, and a perfect record in winning all seven matches.
