Man stabbed, robbed of cell phone

A Sophia resident is nursing a stab wound to his chest at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was accosted and robbed of a cellular phone on Saturday night.

According to a press release, Sylvester Freeman, 27, of Sophia Squatting Area, Greater Georgetown, was walking along Norton Street, Lodge when he was attacked. He was taken to the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit at about 11.05 pm and is currently a patient in the open ward. His condition was listed as stable.
