Is the minister likely to respond?

Dear Editor,

You were kind enough to publish my letter captioned “This report of rape should be investigated” and to forward a copy to the Minister of Human Services and Social Securities for her comments.

Is it customary that public offices like hers to acknowledge receipt of such letters and provide a timeline for feedback?

Yours faithfully,

Samantha Ramlogan-Archer

Editor’s note

It is up to the Minister to decide whether to respond.
