In its New Year’s message the party said Guyana faced many difficulties due mainly to international crises but even as it expects 2010 to bring a new set of challenges it is confident that they will be dealt with successfully.
The PPP said it looks forward to expanding Guyana’s physical infrastructure in order to accelerate its social and economic programmes. It also pledged to continue to promote tolerance among all social and political forces in the country in order to advance the cause of peace and justice for all.
