Holland gets support for broadcast stint in the USA

Popular boxing promoter and broadcaster Carwyn Holland yesterday received some financial support for his international boxing broadcast stint in the USA from close friends and businesses.

Boxing promoter Carwyn Holland receives sponsorship from Giftland’s Office Max’s Compton Babb.

Superstore Giftland Office Max, Nigel’s Supermarket, Jiffi Lubes Sales & Services, Oriental General Store, Standard Distributors and Stain Masters Guyana Limited all contributed to Holland’s expenses for his travel to the USA.

Holland is set to call the action on the “Night of the Champions card at the Skatium in Fort Myers, Florida tonight.

The championship fights will see the return of former World Boxing Federation World Champion Felix Camacho, the younger brother of Hector “Macho” Camacho in action against the tough Adrian Perez in a six rounder. Guyana’s female heavyweight World International Boxing Association (WIBA) World Champion Gwendolyn “The Stealth Bomber” O’Neil will defend her title against American Crystal Davis, while heavyweight Sam Tillman tackles Lee Gilbert.

Holland is expected to return to Guyana next week to commence planning for an international title fight card slated for Guyana October month end.
