The University of Guyana’s Inter-Faculty basketball competition bounces off today at the Cyril Potter College of Educate (CPCE) Auditorium.
Sports Coordinator Lavern Fraser yesterday told this publication that six teams will contest the championships. The teams are defending champions Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Staff, Technology, Agriculture and Forestry and Tain.
The six teams will be divided into two groups with Social Sciences, Agriculture and Forestry and Staff in Group A and Natural Sciences, Technology and Tain in Group B.
Technology, Fraser said will be hoping to secure the championship with former national Under-19 bastball captain Akeem ‘The Dream’ Kanhai, in their line-up.
The first game will feature Social Sciences against Staff. Tain will play two matches tomorrow.
