Miner chopped, stabbed in separate attacks

Miner Adrian Johnson was yesterday air dashed to the city after he was chopped and stabbed in separate attacks in Region Seven.
Johnson, who arrived via a Roraima Airways plane, was covered in blood and bore a visible stab wound on his shoulder, when he arrived at Ogle Airport about 1:30 pm yesterday afternoon.

Johnson, who managed to walk, was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, for treatment.

He is said to be a dredge owner in Tamakay Backdam, in Region Seven, where he has a camp. Stabroek News was told that he was previously chopped by an unidentified male with a cutlass and then stabbed by another male with a knife as he was making his way to get medical attention, due to an argument over a generator stolen from another mining camp.
