With 76 goals already scored during the first two nights, another action packed evening is expected when the inaugural GT Beer Futsal Championship continues tonight at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue.
The opening fixture at 19:00hrs will be a battle of the winless sides when Queen Street Tigerbay opposes Kitty Weavers in a group-A affair. In the second matchup, unbeaten teams will collide when West Back Road locks horns with Bent Street in the final group-A fixture from 19:45hrs.
The third fixture at 21:00hrs will pit tourney favourites and undefeated side Sparta Boss against a Globe Yard unit searching for their first win in a group-B showdown. The final fixture at 21:45hrs will be a battle of the undefeated group-A sides when Agricola opposes Festival City.
The action in the group stage round will then continue on Thursday August 27th at the same venue with another four group fixtures.
In the opening fixture, North Ruimveldt will oppose Beterverwagting (BV) from 19:00hrs in a group-D affair while group-C will take centre stage when Showstoppers lock horns with Broad Street in the second fixture from 19:45hrs.
The third fixture will then pit Albouystown against Alexander Village in a group-B affair from 21:00hrs whilst the final fixture of the night at 21:45hrs will witness West Front Road-Gold is Money against Sophia in a group-C showdown.
Winner of the tournament will collect $500,000 and the championship trophy while the second, third and fourth place finishers will collect $250,000, $125,000 and $75,000 and the correspondingly accolade.
