Ready to rumble: The Trinidad and Tobago pugilists are determined to succeed at this year’s School Boys and Juniors Championship

Contesting the championships are several visiting territories, including Barbados, St Lucia, Suriname and for the first time, a contingent from Jamaica.

“You don’t know what the overseas teams will bring, they could be A grade boxers right down to D graders, but countries like St. Lucia and Suriname will be the dark horses,” Simon said.

“If my boxers get good and fair draws then I feel they will be successful.”

The second edition of the championships ends on Sunday. Bell time is 19:00hrs nightly. (Emmerson Campbell)
