Berbice High in 37-6 rout of Vryman’s Erven

President’s College, Marian Academy and Bishops’ High School all won their matches when the Youth Basketball Guyana [YBG] ‘Georgetown/Coast’ Regional Conference continued on Friday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

President’s College crushed St. Joseph’s 48-24. Gabriel Lim led the way with 19 points and eight rebounds while Richard Semple chipped in with eight points.

For St Joseph’s, Shaquan Gill tallied 15 points and seven rebounds, while Shaqeem Wilson netted six points. Similarly, the Bishops’ High downed St. Rose’s 55-25. Royden Glasgow and Keron Bacchus netted 13 and nine points respectively.

For St Rose’s, Kahil Farrington netted 10 points. Meanwhile, Marian Academy battled past Government Technical Institute (GTI) 31-26. Jether Harris amassed 19 points, eight rebounds and three steals in the victory.

For GTI, Israel Yaw registered 12 points and 13 rebounds. In the Berbice Zone, Berbice High mauled Vryman’s Erven 37-6. Charles William recorded 22 points, 15 rebounds and four steals in the rout.     New Amsterdam Technical Institute brushed aside New Amsterdam Multilateral 58-37. Kadeem Dover, Garfield Benjamin and Jeremy Williams scored 19, 16 and 15 points respectively.

For the loser, Shaquan Lucas and Devonte Tappin netted 18 and eight points respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Developmental League, Queen’s College defeated St. Stanislaus 29-23. Lugard Mohan Jr., tallied 11 points and 13 rebounds in the win with Shakell Bobb-Semple adding nine points and six rebounds.

For St Stanislaus, Vemon Edwards and Mustapha Kadir scored eight and six points respectively.

Also, Christ Church Secondary downed Brickdam Secondary 30-24. Daniel Pyle amassed 12 points in the win while Raheem Neils tallied eight points and six rebounds.

For Brickdam Secondary, Kareem Whitney had 11 points and seven rebounds while Shemar Morris added eight points.
