Den Amstel routs Jetty Gunners in WDFA league

Den Amstel, Uitvlugt and Eagles secured easy wins when the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) Senior League continued on Sunday.

Staged at the Den Amstel ground, the home side crushed Jetty Gunners 7-0. Keswyn Fraser tallied five goals in the 15th, 25th, 36th, 38th and 39th minute. 

He was assisted by Junior Redmond and Denzil Smith who scored in the 56th and 65th minute each.

Similarly, Uitvlugt downed Western Pumas 3-0. Trayon Bobb, sibling Seon Bobb and Jamal Petty scored in the 24th, 30th and 64th minute respectively.

On the other hand, Eagles clawed past Crane 3-1. Adrian Adolph bagged a double in the 14th and 27th minute, while Seon Miller netted in the 15th minute.

For the losers, Akeem Pinder scored in the 41st minute. Also Wales gained a walkover from Golden Warriors.

Meanwhile, Pouderoyen battled to a 1-1 draw newcomer Hurryata on June 16th in the league opener.

However, Pouderoyen was awarded the victory after it was discovered that Hurryata fielded an ineligible player.

The tournament continues on Sunday.
