Guyana looking to medal at Pan Am Games

A 40-member contingent of athletes and officials will travel to Lima, Peru donning the colors of the Golden Arrowhead at the 18th Pan American Games set for July 26 to August 11.

Team Guyana will be represented in eight disciplines, Badminton, Track and Field, Rugby, Taekwondo, Squash, Boxing, Swimming and Table Tennis.

After failing to return with a medal at the last edition of the Games four years ago, Team Guyana which has 26 athletes will look for a change in fortunes later this month.

 Since attending the Games, Team Guyana has amassed 18 medals, two gold, four silver and 12 bronze.
