TechnipFMC invites expressions of interest for technical services

Global oil and gas company TechnipFMC has invited expressions of interest (EOIs) for technical services for its ongoing projects in Guyana.

According to an advertisement in the Sunday Stabroek, the company said that for ongoing projects in Guyana, it will be providing Enhanced Vertical Deep-water Trees (EVDTs), tooling, manifolds, controls and tie-in equipment.

The company said as a result of its commitment to the development of the people and utilisation of resources in the countries where it operates, and to support the current and future operations in-country, it is inviting companies to submit EOIs for the opportunities in several areas.

The company said that the supply/services would be performed on an as-needed basis.

The EOIs relate to Thread Inspection Services, Non Destructive Examination (NDE) Services, Threading Services, Coating and Painting Services, Machining Services, Fabrication/Welding Services, Calibration Services, Industrial Gases and Fluids, Distributor for Parker Hoses and Fittings, Distributor for Swagelock Fittings, Bucking/Torqueing Services, Coning and Threading, Lift Equipment Certification, Mobile Equipment, In-Country Equipment Transportation, Portable Power Generation and Temporary Structures.

Doubts have previously been raised about whether Guyanese companies have the capabilities to provide the services TechnipFMC is requesting, besides services such as fabrication and welding, machining, mobile equipment, in-country equipment transportation, portable power generation and temporary structures.

According to TechnipFMC’s requirements for interested companies, they will have to be registered with the Centre for Local Business Development and will have to provide proof of their registration when submitting their EOIs.

Companies will also be required to submit the company’s profile inclusive of full contract details, physical address, Tax Identification Number, details on any joint ventures and partnerships that are part of their organisation.

They are also required to submit relevant experience providing product/services listed, including clients and references, and to comply with all related requirements of the Government of Guyana.

The company stressed that the notice is for EOIs only and not a Request for Proposals. Companies expressing interest in supplying the services are required to submit the EOI packages by August 30th to GuyanaSupplierDevelopment@ technipfmc.com.
