GCC the Sequal continued their box office effort in this year’s Bounty Paper Towel-Quicker Picker Upper, Guyana Hockey Development second-division league by notching up two more wins Sunday at the Saint Stanislaus College Ground to remain firm favourites for the men’s title

Sequal hammered YMCA Old Fort Rusty 11-0 on the back of hat-trick conversions from Philip Fernandes, Medroy Scott and Devin Hooper. Rahim Oliver and Michael Xavier scored the other two goals.

The Bourda bunch then defeated SHC Shockwaves 4-1 in a match where Philip Fernandes netted a brace to continue his ripping form at the weekend. Hikers Cadets were also in action, sticking a needle inside SHC Savages with their 1-0 win.

The other male second-division match played on Sunday saw SHC Shockwaves downing Bounty GCC 3-1.

Meanwhile, Saints and Bingo GCC Spartans played to a 0-0 draw in the women’s category as the former remains at the top of the points table.
