Squash action is set to resume on October 8 after little over a month’s break following Guyana’s hosting of this year’s senior Caribbean champions where the host prevailed in the overall team’s category.

As such, local squash players will dust themselves off when the annual year-end handicap tournament, which is usually sponsored under Ansa McAl’s Lucozade brand, gets underway next week at the Georgetown Sports Club squash court.

This year’s championship is expected to see handicap king Nyron Joseph defending his open category crown which he grabbed from Deje Dias in 2018.

Additionally, Nicholas Verwey, who won an entertaining scrap against Kirsten Gomes 2-1 to take the category ‘A’ title, is also expected to be on show along with a slew of up and coming juniors.
