Crime Chief (ag) Michael Kingston on Saturday told this newspaper, that initial investigations revealed that two bandits broke into Breedy’s home.

“He [Breedy] woke up, there was massive resistance and he was shot,” Kingston said.

The bandits, managed to escape with a television and $11,000 in cash. They gained entry into Breedy’s house through a window situated on the eastern side of the house.

Breedy was discovered lying face down in the kitchen in a pool of blood. He was shot once.

He was discovered by his daughter, who resided with him in the bottom flat of the two-storey building, which he also shared with his wife.

Breedy’s son, Keron King, said that he heard the gunshot but didn’t realise it came from his home.  “After I hear the gunshot, me sista run up the step and seh ‘Daddy just get shoot, call the ambulance,’” King said.

He said when he rushed downstairs, he saw Breedy’s lifeless body in a pool of blood.
