Murder accused Travis Evans, known as ‘Short Boss,’ yesterday admitted to raping a woman and robbing her of $650,000 in a 2010 attack.

It is alleged that on October 30th, 2010, in the county of Demerara, Evans engaged in the sexual penetration of a woman. He was also charged with robbing the woman of $650,000 on the same date, while being armed with a knife.

Evans, of ‘C’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was charged jointly with two men, for whom arrest warrants were issued. He is expected to return to court on December 18th for the presentation of a probation report and sentencing.

Evans was one of three prisoners who escaped from the Lusignan Prison in October 2018. He was at that time on remand for the murders of Timehri youth Ronsley Clarke and Kuru Kururu legal clerk Gregory Frank.
