Trinidad Bank worker’s body found on roadside

(Trinidad Express) The body of a woman was found yesterday afternoon off Demerara Road in Arima.

Police said around 1 p.m. motorists observed the body of Roma Lamont, 28, along Demerara Road which connects the Eastern Main Road to the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway.

 
Police said Lamont was an employee of RBC Royal Bank and lived at Sangre Chiquito in Sangre Grande.

Officers of the Arima CID, Region Two Homicide Bureau, Crime Scene Unit and the District Medical Officer visited the scene. Police could not say if she was murdered as there were no marks of violence about her body.

 
A post-mortem is expected to be done at the Forensic Science Centre in St James today to determine her exact cause of death.
