CANU finds suspected ganja in Howes St

The Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) yesterday said that it had found a quantity of suspected ganja in bush in an abandoned yard in Howes Street, Charlestown.

CANU in a release said that the interception had occurred early yesterday morning and one suspect is in custody. It said that the cannabis was believed to have been brought from Berbice. Two parcels with a total of 14.2 kilogrammes were retrieved.
