Motorcyclist in fatal Dundee accident fined for riding without licence

Tyron Inniss, the motorcyclist involved in the recent fatal accident at Dundee, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, that left his cousin dead, has been charged with riding without a licence and a breach of insurance.

According to Sergeant Rodwell Downer, Officer-in-Charge of Traffic for Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice, Inniss was charged with being an unlicensed motorcyclist and breach of insurance.

Inniss pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined $30,000 for being unlicensed, while he was reprimanded on the second count and discharged.

Inniss was the rider of a motorcycle, involved in the July 5th accident where he suffered a broken leg and his cousin, Carson Inniss, killed.

Ramzan Mohammed Shaw, the driver involved in the accident that caused the death of Carson Inniss at Dundee, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, was on July 13th asked to post a total of $560,000 bail after being faced with four charges, including causing death by dangerous driving.

Shaw was charged with failure to render assistance, failure to stop after an accident and failure to report an accident, for which he was granted a total of $60,000 bail. He was then charged with causing death, for which he was granted $500,000 bail.
